With approximately 170 segments and a Silver-tip Badger Knot, this brush is one of my favorites and is now my personal everyday shaving brush
All my products are hand made by me in my garage. Because these are crafted from materials which have variations, some small flaws are inevitable. I do my best to remove any blemishes found in the natural wood and/or resin. I can try to duplicate any product but no two items are exactly the same. If you see a pattern you like I can try to duplicate it and the knot can be silver-tip badger or synthetic
Poplar and cedar are combined in this series to complement the blue and white resin as a tribute to our U.S. Flag. These brushes can be adorned with either a top of line silver-tip badger or a high quality synthetic knot.
Combinations of Oak, Poplar, Cedar, Walnut and other hardwoods come together to make unique patterns
Many of my brushes are re-purposed firewood. I enjoy using local hardwoods in my products. These two brushes were made from an oak tree that fell on a friends property.
This brush was made for a California Highway Patrol Officer who requested a unique brush to replace his current badger brush. I utilized an old CHP uniform to create a one of a kind micarta which is layered between three pieces of oak. Each of the two layers of micarta contains 13 layers of CHP uniform. This Brush has 26 layers of CHP uniform, 3 layers of valley oak, one small ring of pine, and is topped with a silver-tip badger hair knot. After retirement the micarta will remind the owner of the many years he dedicated to the people of California as he served with his distinguished department; the oak will remind him of home, as the oak tree was located less than 5 miles from the officers house prior to falling in a storm; and the pine is because the Officer has a love for the mountains and for all things outdoors.
Micarta is a composite of linen, canvas, paper, fiberglass, carbon fiber or other fabric in a thermosetting plastic.
